Scheduling Your Tubal Reversal With Us
We are here to help you with scheduling your tubal reversal and to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Our office is open Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST to personally assist you. Call us during office hours at 1-866 TUBAL REVERSAL (1-866-882-2573) or locally at (727) 669-3403 or email us anytime using our Contact Us Form.

Here is the typical timeline from your first phone call to having the surgery:

  1. Call Nancy Stein to schedule a consultation and surgery at any of the above phone numbers, or email Nancy after hours using our Contact Us Form.

  2. We will need you to fax your operative and pathology reports from your tubal ligation to us at (727) 796-8764.

  3. If you do not have these reports please download the Medical Release Form located in our New Patient Forms section. Complete the Medical Release Form and fax it to the medical records department at the hospital where your tubal ligation was performed. Once you have your operative and pathology reports please fax them to us using our Fax Cover Form also located in our New Patient Forms section. We will contact you as soon as we receive these reports.

  4. We are very flexible in accommodating your schedule. Patients are usually seen the day before surgery. Surgeries are done on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We encourage all our patients to have a routine pre-conception labratory test through their primary care doctor. This test includes: Rubella IgG titer, Hepatitis B Surface Antigen, Hepatitis C Antibody, RPR, HIV screen, and Cystic fibrosis screening. This is encouraged but not a requirement.

  5. If you are coming from out-of-town please visit our Travel Tips & Accomodations page for expediting your travel arrangements. If you have further questions about travel we will be happy to help direct you.

  6. Your tubal reanastomosis will be done as an out patient procedure via mini- laparotomy. The incision is typically 3" long. Please see our Tubal Reversal section for more in-depth information on the procedure, and pre and post-op care and instructions.

  7. On the day of your procedure you must be accompanied by a responsible adult, 18 years or older who will remain in the facility during your procedure and at your hotel or home following your discharge from the facility.

  8. For local patients a post operative visit is scheduled in our office within 7 days. Patients from outside the area receive dissolvable sutures and do not need to be seen post operatively. We will call you the following week to see how you are doing and answer any questions you may have. Many patients return to work, if they have non-lifting jobs, within one to two weeks. Couples may begin attempting to conceive two months after the surgery.
